The UW Autism Center and Seattle Children’s Autism Center are part of one of the largest ever single NIH-funded grants focused on autism. The study hopes to catch up with concerns like cancer by establishing biomarkers for autism. One of the project leads is Raphael Bernier who was also a key member of our team to create a set of video resources for parents of children who recently received a diagnosis of autism. The biomarker study will identify markers to help doctors diagnose, track and assess treatments.
